Kanye West For President 2020

Kanye West For President 2020

Media and entertainment is making its way into politics more and more every day, especially Hip Hop. Since the beginning of time Hip Hop artists have had a substantial amount of impact on the way we view politics, government, and our world. Hip Hop andmany other genres of music has always been the main leading vessel or path for the suppressed to express their feelings, and actually be heard. From NWA’s beef with the police system to the Sista Souljah and Bill Clinton incident.

HISTORY LESSON:

In 1992 (I wasn’t even 1 years old yet), Souljah in an interview about the Rodney King/LA Uprising was quoted saying “If Black people kill Black people every day, why not have a week and kill white people.” Clinton was running for president and in his attempt to get the votes of “blue collar dads” and “soccer moms”, he decided to show up to Jesse Jackson’s Rainbow Coalition Convention and publicly call out Souljah for her remarks. Souljah was a guest speaker at Jackson’s event, Clinton was trying to separate himself from Jackson (who was not a fan) and make him and his convention look bad. Politics blows my mind (LOL). Jackson explained to the press that Souljah’s words were taken out of context, and that her remarks were just an extreme expression of how African American’s felt at the time.

Hip Hop Artists have always gave their 2 cents on how they feel about our world but for the first time ever an artist has announced his possible candidacy for president!  Can we say, “BOUT THAT LIFE”! One thing I love about Kanye is that he is not going to close his mouth or censor himself for anyone. Kanye has the attributes and characteristics of a person you can trust, your’e always going to get something raw and true from Kanye whether it is good or bad. Kanye West announced that he will be running for president in 2020 at the 2015 VMA’s. I am not sure how serious he is, but it is pretty interesting and made for day breaking news.

This was the look on me and my friends faces when he first announced it:

After we got through our confused, shocked, interested, and funny emotions we cheered him on!

Pennie’s 5 Politically Incorrect Valid Reasons to Vote #KanyeForPresident2020

Donald Trump - If we are letting Trump get this far and all he has is money, why would we not let Kanye West? At least Kanye has a brain, creativity, and money.

The Kardashians – The Kardashians are already “The First Family” in a lot of people’s eyes. I guarantee that you know more about Kylie Kristen Jenner then you do about Malia Ann Obama. Correct me if I’m wrong! They are one of the smartest families in America to turn their dirt into gold. Every family has dirt, they just decide to be transparent with theirs and make a living off of it.

The Visionary – Kanye West has an untouchable influence on our culture, especially the millennial. Creativity, art, free-thinking, and innovation is what we live by. Imagine a country led by someone who cared about what really matters. Getting the youth involved in politics and our government has always been a struggle, but that would not be the case if Kanye was in the oval office! The youth are the future we have all of the answers and ideas, Kanye said it best #ListenToTheKidsBruh

Involvement – Kanye West cares, and not only about black people but every race. Kanye West just wants us to dig deeper, think more, change, and create for the better! He’s got my vote.

Free YEEZY’s for everyone! Following the VMA’s Kanye West jokingly said his first order of action will be Yeezy’s for everybody! Let me cop the black ones.
